I am a UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist and have been running my own private practice since 2005.
My original training was at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, where I gained a Masters in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy in 2008. I have subsequently trained in Biodynamic Massage and Body Centred Psychotherapy, at the London School of Biodynamic Body Psychotherapy (LSBP), where I am committed to ongoing Continued Professional Development.
After many different courses of study, I have been drawn to a body/ mind/ energy approach to therapy as being the most effective way to achieve independent wellbeing. I have found the most important ingredient in therapy to be the relationship we create together, the feeling of trust that develops from feeling truly listened to in an atmosphere of deep acceptance. I aim to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment in which you can feel able to explore whatever may be troubling you.
I have experience working both in the NHS and in Private Practice, and in a variety of Charities in Brighton and Hove and Sussex.
In addition to working with individuals in Integrative Psychotherapy and Biodynamic Massage, I run workshops and groups on many aspects of personal development.
I abide by the Code of Ethics and Professional Practice of UKCP ( United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), IATE ( Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education) and ABMT (Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists). I am committed to on-going continued professional development and, in line with the requirements of UKCP, receive regular professional supervision.
