About Catherine

I am a UKCP registered integrative arts psychotherapist and biodynamic body psychotherapist, and have been running my own private practice since 2005.

My original training was at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, where I gained an MA in integrative arts psychotherapy in 2008. Many years working with clients led me increasingly to observe the importance of including the body in psychotherapy, and I subsequently trained in biodynamic body psychotherapy at the London School of Biodynamic Psychotherapy (LSBP). I am now able to integrate both approaches, depending on the client’s needs and circumstances.

Non judgemental therapeutic relationship.

In my experience, the most important ingredient in psychotherapy, more than any technique or psychotherapeutic modality, is the relationship we create together, the building of trust that flows from feeling truly listened to in an atmosphere of deep acceptance. Every client is unique and we will work in a way and at a pace which suits you.

I have experience working both in the NHS and in private practice, and in a variety of charities in Brighton and Hove and Sussex.

I invite you to contact me to discuss your needs and circumstances, or to make an initial introductory appointment.
